Easytronic Transmission

Hi,

Has anyone got experience of Opel's easytronic transmission, I'm thinking of buying an astra at the moment and am wondering if this type of transmission would be a good idea?

My wife has a new Astra SXI with an easytronic gearbox.
Its basically a fully automatic gearbox once you select that mode in the gear box.
Its a nice stylish attractive car but the gear change is not that smooth when changing gears and the sport mode is very unpleasant with excessive noise coming from the engine.
