Easy to use payroll package

I am looking for a payroll package to cover 4 companies.
There is one main company which has 20+ monthly salary employees.
The next biggest company has 8 employees comprising of weekly wages and monthly salaries.
Previously our payroll was handled by an outside person but from January I want to take on its preparation.
I do not have any experience of any packages and would appreciative any advice on which might be the most cost effective and easiest to use.

Very simple to use, reasonably priced

I agree with Carrielou. Thesaurus is very user friendly and reasonably priced and has a good technical support phone service.

I use the Bureau version of Thesaurus for a number of clients and have done for some years. Agree with other posters, is very easy to use and reasonably priced.

No connection with the company, just a satisfied user.

Another vote for Thesaurus. Idiot proof and the people in the office are very professional.

You do have to pay extra (€70) to set up additional companies in Thesaurus, or pay €320 for a bureau version. You get unlimited companies with Payback Payroll software (and unlimited employees) for €120+VAT
