East Coast USA Sunhine in Sept/Oct

Hi

I am looking forr a sunshine destination on the East Coast of USA in Sept/Oct but not Florida! Ideally would like a touristy destination, similar to what you would get in Florida but perhaps a few degrees cooler, 25-27 celcius..
 
Just a thought but I think september is peak hurricane season for the atlantic coast, i could be wrong but it might be something you wnat to check out.

I think anywhere further north than north carolina will be a bit cooler and quieter in september or october. some more northern coastal tourist areas would be the jersey shore, nantucket island, marthas vineyard, cape cod, ocean city (maryland) but the season is mainly from mid june to early september.

August/September is around the peak hurricane season but the risks of actually picking the week/fortnight a hurricane passes thru the very area your in would be small enough in my opinion. No major hurricanes hit Florida last summer
