E-bay Purchases - Paypal Payments

Anyone noticed lately that when purchasing from ebay and paying via paypal that you do not receive an automatic notification of either the order or the payment having been received. this happened to me a few times but goods arrived and payment had gone through.
 
I've made a number of ebay purchases in the last few weeks, but got the email notification from ebay and paypal every time.
