Hi All,

Anyone have a dyson v10 and experiences the vacumn pushing dirt around? I have cleaned the filters etc and there doesnt seem to be a blockage. It just seems to

No just moving bit of dirt around the floor. Is there a way to increase the gap between the floor and the vacumn head I wonder (to allow larger pieces of dirt in)

If it's stopping you need a new battery pack. We had to get one. Costs around 60 euro.

If you're talking about larger pieces of dirt that are getting moved in front of the brushes, you may need to lift the brush head every now and then to move over these pieces. Most brush heads seem to form a reasonably tight seal around the edged to maximise the suction in the area covered.

You will be happy to know that I may have fixed it over the weekend!

After you remove the dustbin on the V10 the manual says to "gently tab the cyclone". If you really "Shake the bejesus" out of it a load fine dust comes and dirt comes out of the cyclone area. A great improvement!

For hard floors, lino etc you need a special hard floor head.
It has gaps in the brushes to let dirt through. A bit like castle walls. Its sold with certain editions.
I found it impossible to get a good deal on it separately.

Luckily our main hoover (not a dyson) has one of these included.
Kinda makes the dyson redundant for us.
