dyeable wedding shoes

Hello all,
I'm trying to find a shop in dublin that carried dyeable silk shoes similar to [broken link removed] that I found on a US website. I know they carry wedding shoes in a shop in Dun Laoghaire and in on Parnell Street and Ranelagh but they don't seem to be sandles.
Can anyone else help? I really would prefer not to buy them over the internet.

Sorry I can't help on where to buy wedding sandals, but what's the difference between wedding sandals and another type of sandal - unless you are specifically looking for fabric covered sandals only . The reason I ask is, I needed a particular colour sandal last year for a wedding. Bought a leather type pair, attractive and comfortable, but the wrong colour. I dyed them, stuck on some matching sparkles (or whatever they are called) from the bead shop and voila they did the trick. Would this work for you - as a last resort.:)

I thought only the white satin ones could be dyed, did you dye the leather ones yourself?

Yes I dyed them myself. I bought some "Punch" dyes. It's almost impossible to get any unusual colours, but if you used the colour wheel you can mix up almost any colour. You will get all the instructions on the leaflet in the package. I only had a few basic colours but I managed fine. I'll probably be doing the same again this year:) I mixed the colours on a small plate and applied with a small brush, after first applying neutraliser.

a friend of mine got sandals dyed in a car paint shop. Turned out perfect, cheap too. man wasn't fazed when she asked him, said he often does it.
 
NIce Ideas on what to do with shoes I want a change with. The problem I have is I'm looking to get them to match a dress in an odd shade so would rather take it to the professionals. But good tip on what to do with the really yucky white ones I have in the back of the closet!

One of the shoe repair guys to whom I was talking, when searching out shoe dyes, told me that car spray is often used!!!. Great demand for same at time of debs. I did try a shoe paint spray, and the shoe repair chappie even demonstrated how it can be done (a)the shade wasn't exactly what I wanted, and (b) the spray is way too messy - sprays more than just the shoe/sandal:(. So if you're getting them sprayed perhaps it's best left to the experts.

Do let's know what professional you use and how he/she colours them.
