This might sound like an awful stupid question to some. I am out looking for a new compuer and most only seem to have a DVD Rewriter. Can you also read or write CDs on it as well or is it only for DVDs
Most or all DVD rewriters will also (re)write and read CDs. I'm not aware of any that don't. Not a stupid question though as sometimes it may not be obvious from the advertising bumpf.
Windows XP and, I presume, Vista, have basic burning capabilities built in and accessible via Windows Explorer. I also use Burnatonce for burning CDs/DVDs as it's free, very lightweight and much less bloated with unnecessary (to me) features than other bigger free and commercial packages.
