Want to prepare some kind of 'visual 'slide-show' for the launch/promotion of a product, using a range of digital images with identifying captions to be inserted, to be timed for each picture to fade in/out in sequence.
What software would be suitable - Powerpoint?

Just forgot one thing - the 'slide-show' is to be operated using laptop and projector, am I right?

Allendog,

One piece of software which I found very easy to use and create slide shows on is Pro Show Gold. Research it online.
It might be just the job for you.

There is a free trial version of ProSHow Gold available on that link provided by DrMoriarty. This version is useful but beware if you intend to use it for the final version as it comes with an ugly yellow band saying ProShowGold across the screen.
