DVD Player - DivX

Hi Guys,

If a DVD player is divx compatible - does this mean it will play .AVI files?

Does anyone know of a good value DVD player that plays all the formats (mpeg, avi, mp3, etc) and is multi-region?

I know Lidl released a new player this week but I don't know if
its multi-region.

The merits and otherwise of the LIDL player are covered here. I'd say you won't find any left in-store by today.

Video content condensed to AVI will, generally, used the DivX or XviD codec, so would be playable on any DivX player. In my experience, you would be unlucky to have an AVI file that is not compatible.
