Well its not for me

Mrs Gunner went in there and bought something and it was Chaos!!! Four day sale on

Everything was half price. Changing rooms not open due to the 4 day sale

So to cut a long story short blouse did not fit her and brought it back only to be told that Henry Street were not accepting returns until Monday 16th

Not very happy bunny along with a few other irate customers. Was told Ilac will exchange it and so trapsed over there only to say they can exchange it but have to pay full price. Few others there were doing the same and not very happy

Ok no defect with garmet but Mrs Gunner is thinking of complaining

Has she got a leg to stand on

They are not obliged to exchange/refund at all as far as I know. And I don't think that they are obliged to provide changing ooms either.
Has she got a leg to stand on
Doubt it.

Is there an option of bringing it back to Dunnes on Henry St on Monday and exchanging it for the sale purchase price rather than exchanging it for the full price in another store?

Yeah I thought they were under no obligation to exchange it.

Henry Street had none left of the particular garment that was bought so thats why we went to Ilac and the sale only goes on for 4 days

Want to see the chaos in there crazy

Irishgunner, why doesn't she buy it in a different Dunnes for full price and swap it with the "Henry St" one, then return the "Henry St" one using the full price receipt. I bought loads of stuff the other day and I always had it in the back of my head that if it doesn't fit I would just ask to exchange it for a different size etc.

After seeing the chaos first hand I can understand why everything other than sales tills were closed. They couldn't possibly manage the fitting rooms and customer service tills too. They did advertise that there would be no returns until Monday. I have to bring a few things back but I think I'll leave it a week as the queues will be a mile long for the first few days.

Great sale though!!

She has already exchanged it as did not want to wait....

Was not mad money & she came home with loads of bargains none for me though.....

Just back from the city centre. If possible Dunnes is more manic today than on Friday. Security guards frequently had to stop people coming in as there was too many people in the store. A lot of empty shelves, I think people would have bought them too if they weren't attached! Between myself and my sister we must of spent €350 over the last few days - mostly homewares like sheets, duvet covers etc. I bought stuff for all the family, friends kids etc.

I'd say €100 worth of the stuff we bought will go back. I bought egyptian cotton sheets during the week at full price but they will be going back tomorrow as I purchased them again at half price on Friday!!

All in all it was worth all the hassle. It's not very often you get a real sale anymore.

It says clearly on the reciept no exchange or refund in Henry St till Monday. Have to say it seems fair to me - the place was manic and its not like you can't bring stuff back at all.

Best sale ever! Have to hand it to them. Was there at 12 noon yesterday and shelves had been completely re-stocked from Saturday evening. Didn't find any problems with other shoppers as everyone in good form and keen to bag their bargains. Beautiful store - look forward to visiting it again on when they get back to normal. The restaurant decor is fab.
