Dundalk

Hi there

I have decided to bight the bullet and get on the property ladder if I can, I work in Dundalk, but originally from Monaghan. So I guess Dundalk seems to be the logical place for me to live. Prices in Dundalk seem to be high, for me although I have seen some developments which are realtively lower such as Saltown and Castleross - are there problems with these developments? Would I get rent a room in these areas? I would also consider Knockbrigge, Louth Village etc.... anyone any answers/suggestion?

i am from dundalk and live in dundalk.castleross in a tip.....some houses there are sinking but still you'd pay 200k for a home there.salt-town is a newer development built along the same part of the castletown river but its not as bad as castleross in terms of dirt etc.generally that part of dundalk is a no no even though i will be offending some people but its the truth.

my advice.stay the F*** away from castleross and i can see in time salt-town going down that same line.
