Dumping an old microwave -D7

Can you not just give it to the retailer when you buy a new one?
Other than that any bring centre should take it

I dont intend on buying another one as we just dont use it at all.
Does dublin city council provide a service whereby you can pay them to collect waste such as old microwaves etc? I think I read about it before, but I tried searching the net and I am not coming up with any details on the service

Is Panda in Dublin 7? They now take electrical goods for recycling at least in our area.

For electrical items, I use the bring centre on the road between Amiens street and Fairview, on the city side of the hump bridge over the canal, opposite Northstrand health centre ( it is a bit hidden, but is sign posted). It is a pity the Grangegorman site does not accept these.
The opening hours are not suited to people who work though

There's a Fingal Co Council bring centre in Coolmine (not too far from the Blanchardstown Centre) which takes electrical goods - and is open on Saturdays.
