Where can I get some information in relation with the rental market for a given address (I'm a tenant)?
Are there any standards published (i.e. on the internet) depending on the area, the date of construction...? I'm new in Ireland and I would like to know the standard rates for rents.
Not to my knowledge - you can use www.daft.ie to get an idea of apartments available under a certain rent ceiling:
e.g. "less than €1000", "less than €1500" etc. - you might start there.
The DAFT quarterly reports will also give you indicative rents by dublin postcode and number of bedrooms. Treat with caution - there's a very wide range of flat and apartment types available, particularly close to city centre (where you could be looking at anything from a high-quality high-spec penthouse to a dingy run-down flat in a converted period house, with an equally wide rental spectrum) - but it may give you a general idea of what you can expect to pay.
You can download the most recent report from [broken link removed]
It's in pdf format.
