any one with property in or thinking about buying in Dubai should read irish mail on sunday 2nd aug. the sunday review section says quote " vist a city where villas rot,cars lie abandoned, and the jails are filling up with foregin debtors "

This is 100% accurate, it is exactly what happens when you loose your job. The write of this article has to consider himself lucky that he got his final months salary and managed to get out of the country, many have not.
 
My brother-in-law recently had a similar experience in Qatar. He also fled!
