Driving used car with no TAX/DOE

Hi, I'm looking at picking up a Vito 108cdi with no tax or Doe

I can transfer insurance but dunno the story/rules on tax/doe

anyone know the story?
like is there a wavier of a day or two?

I'm traveling a fair distance longford to cork with a mate
and if its good i'll drive it from there to longford

any advice would be appreciated!

You will have to wait for the registration certain to tax it or doe it, generally if you carry the change of owner slip or tape it to the windscreen it will cover you if you are stopped up to about a fortnight
