Driving Licence. Is it just the card?

I am hiring a car next month. My old licence came in two parts as far as I remember and the hire companies always asked for both parts.
I changed my address a couple of years ago and it seems I only have the credit card style licence.
Was there a counterpart I may have mislaid?
Or is the new card all I need?

Is it an Irish license? Yes, its only one part.

I think the old UK license came in 2 parts, as far as I remember...

Yes. Its Irish. I did have UK one years back thats probably what i am thing of
