Driving Licence / Commercial Landcruiser SWB

Hi all,

My driving licence only covers vehicle category B. Do I need to do another test in order to be covered for a Commercial Landcruiser SWB which has a vehicle category of C on its registration certificate ?

I'd only be using it for private use, but I suppose this doesn't make any difference.

I'm probably being a dim here but is the category on the registration certificate (which is 'C'), different to the category on the driving licence then ?

Dont know what the category on the certificate says but the categories are very clear on your licence i.e. size of vehicle, weight, no. of passengers etc. If you want further confirmation ask a Guard.

Thanks cerbera1. I was getting confused and thinking the 'C' categories on both would stand for the same thing.
