Hello,
Cannot find any posts here which can help me.
I am taking my car to Brussels in June and am wondering what is the best route to go? The less driving the better really.
Many thanks for any suggestions.

You have a number of choices, the simplest IMHO being

  • Cork - Roscoff by car ferry (15 hours)
  • Roscoff - Brussels by road (approx. 9 hours, 830 kms)
Other choices :

  • Ferry to UK
  • Drive to UK ferry-port (Dover, Portsmouth, Harwich, Hull, etc)
  • UK ferry-port to mainland ferry-port (Dunkerque, Calais, Zeebrugge, St, Malo, Ostend, etc.)
  • Drive mainland ferry-port to Brussels
or

  • Ferry to UK
  • Drive to Folkstone
  • Channel Tunnel to Calais (about £175 one-way depending on date & time of travel)
  • Drive Calais to Brussels (approx. 2 hours, 200kms)

How about Rosslare to Cherbourg Ferry with Celtic Link Ferry Leaves weekdays 9.30pm and 6pm at weekends

Cherbourg to Brussels 596Km (Approx 6 hours)

Their fares are pretty good too

Thanks IrishGuy1970.
I booked a one-way in June with car (and cabin) Rosslare to Cherbourg today with Irish Ferries for €260 which is pretty good I think.
