i'm going to try that tomorrow but the slots are very narrow .If you can't get it off can you use some sort of hooked probe - even jerry-rigged if necessary(e.g. wire coat hanger) - to remove the blockage (which, I presume, is most likely leaves/moss etc.?) via the slots in the drain cover?
tried wd40. I dont have allen key to fit.WD40 and / or kettle of boiling water? Try a set of allen keys & see if you can get one to fit?
See if you can borrow a set perhaps? Boiling water will make the metal expand and it might help with loosening it. Drilling it out might be the fastest solution.I dont have allen key to fit.
tried ttatHave you tried using a phillips/torx screwdriver, which is the closest fit, and applying as much downward bodyweight as possible on the screw while simultaneously turning it?
I've found this works in the past.
