Hi All
I have been looking at houses in Cork, around the Douglas and Rochestown areas. I am looking for advice. The areas that I have favoured in Douglas is Maryborough Hill so far but in Rochestown it seems a bit harder. Is it me or are there a lot of different type areas in Rochestown. I have looked around Tornbury on the way out to Passage but once I go past that I find that the area seems to drop off. I also looked at a lot of other areas in Rochestown but none really appealed to me. I also noted that there seems to be a sewage treatment plant around there. Is there much of a smell of this or is it more water treatment.
Any help or advice on the areas would be appreciated.
I am looking to live close to cork, so any other suggestions, preferably south side within easy access of the city.
Regards
Mike

The traffic is one of the main issues you should investigate depending on your circumstances re work children etc.
