Double delivery

I ordered 60 euros worth of goods from a website a few weeks ago. The goods were delivered 2 weeks ago.

Today I get home from work and find I have got a 2nd delivery from the company. This delivery contains only some of the original order - worth about 20 euro.

I will email the company tomorrow to see what they say.

Has this happened to anyone before? What happened?

If I have to send the goods back I will be out of pocket. It was a DHL who they were delivered by. They were sent from Holland.

Re: Double delivery!!!

A similar thing happened to me. I contacted them to tell them (Spanish company) and after some initial confusion (they were going to send me a third item!) they told me that I could just keep the item sent in error. I was convinced I'd see it appear on my credit card statement but never did.

Re: Double delivery!!!

yep, happened me with two different companies - one told me to keep the extra, and the other gave me a freepost address to send the item back to.

Re: Double delivery!!!

That's grand - don't mind sending it back, just don't want it to cost me anything!

Re: Double delivery!!!

Nah it's their mistake - shouldn't cost you anything. Was great keeping the other double - made a handy Christmas present!

Re: Double delivery!!!

if its books from amazon my sister and a cousin told me that they ask you to donate the duplicate orders contents to a local library.

Just to update.

Emailed the company, told them I had got a double delivery.

They thanked me for my honesty and said I could keep the goods as it was their mistake.
