Door Handle is Stiff

I have a Carina and the door(back) handle is getting stuck and stays out instead of springing back in when I open it. I put wd40 on inside lock where it catches on the car but no good. I think that its the door handle itself that is needs oil but I cant get at it. Can I loosen some screws and take off the door handle.

My mechanic took off the panels of the car and oiled the parts of the handle.

Its a maintenance issue - I was told that when the car receives its service that the garage should remove the pannelling and oil the handle parts.... if they dont the result is stiff doors handles.

Thanks Lomond for the quick reply. I feared that it would be more complicated than I thought.I was hoping for a real easy way to fix it but since WD40 had no affect I knew it was outa my league.
