donation for funeral mass card signature

Can anyone tell me what a "typical" donation might be for getting a funeral mass card signed? I saw this thread but it's a few years old. (I know I can give whatever amount I want, but for this sort of thing a "going rate" does seem to establish itself.) I'm in Dublin, if that makes any difference.

Do you not pay for this "service" by buying the card in the first place?

I bought the card in a regular shop and I was going to bring it to a priest. I know there are some locations where you can buy it and get it signed all in one (or buy a pre-signed one), but not near me.

The generally accepted amount for a priest is ten euro, I believe. In some places where it is a 'shared' mass, the amount is sometimes whatever you wish to give.

There are two types of mass cards.
Pre-signed ones bought in shops (I think these around a fiver)
Ones the local priest will sign for you (acceptable donation a tenner).


There are some people of a certain age and faith who would appreciate the latter more.
