Hi, I'm wondering is there a way to buy dollars before the exchange rate turns around and improves without holding wads of cash? I will be doing some dollar shopping, but not until next year and I want to get this years rate (at a minimum:))

You'll need a $ account. otherwise you will need to hold the wad of cash. Check xetrade,transfermate and currency.ie for who gives the best rate. I have dealt with xetrade and they beat the rate that another company was quoting so don't be afraid to haggle
