Does the six year statute of limitation apply to the debt also?

A solicitor failed to pay a hospital bill on behalf of a client. The solicitor has now ceased business and the Law Society says because it is over six years ago they cannot investigate.
The hospital has now billed the client.
Does the six year statute of limitation apply to the debt also?

Yes the debt would be statute barred if you haven't acknowledged or made any payments for the last 6 years.
