Does the Pension Levy apply to T.D.s Salaries

Hi Folks,
Does anyone out there know if the pension levy applies to T.D.s and ministers ?. I have heard that it will not apply but I find that hard to believe. I suppose they might have decided that they are more self servants than publiuc servants but I would appreciate confirmation of that before I call Joe Duffy.

Everything I've read indicates that T.D.'s and Ministers pay the Pension Levy. Was there anything specific that made you believe otherwise?
