Does the new 100k apply to investments?

Does the new 100k deposit guarantee only apply to deposit accounts.. are investments still only covered to 20k max

I guess the original poster just wanted to know if the investor compensation scheme was going to be extended in a similar way to the deposit guarantee scheme?
