My friend talks of nothing else these days except buying/building a house-think it comes with turning the big 3-0!
I cant see how she could possibly do this earning less than €25000 before deductions and taking home approx €400 a week from a sales admin job. Am I right in thinking that she couldnt even get AH on this?

I dont want to be the big bad wolf that bursts her bubble, just wondering what is the max she'd be likely to get a mortgage for even via a broker. I doubt theres a wealth of savings there either, but her parents would probably go guarantor if that helped much.
 
A loan of 100,000 would be four times her annual earnings and that would be stretching it a bit. Maybe if she bought with a friend, however, that idea isn't without its problems down the line if either one of them fall out or wants to move on etc.
 
where does she live? What's the lowest price in the area?
 
If your a friend advice her to wait a year or so keep saving and when prices comes down get herself a good broker and you would never know.
