Does resolution matter with PSP3?

I've been comparing the Aldi 19in TV advertised form this Thursday with one in Argos. The Aldi one has less resolution than Argos one.

The TV is for use with PSP3 mainly. Does resolution come into play with gaming usage and is it worth spending few bob more for better resolution? what else should be considered when purchasing 19inch for mainly PSP3 usage?

Its probably worth spending few bob more on screen size, even 23" would make a big difference if it fits in space provided. And I'm presuming its a PS3 rather than a PSP3?
