Can anybody tell me if all receivership appointments have to be published in CRO (if yes, is this information freely available) and does receiver or lender have to notify you in writing who the receiver is and when they were appointed? We have a BTL with EBS and have been told by IMHO that the lender has informed them (IMHO) that receiver is in place.

Only corporate receiver appointments are registered at CRO. CRO documents may be downloaded directly from CRO for a modest fee. Such receivership appointments also need to be advertised in Iris Oifiguil.

Personal receiverships are not registered anywhere, and do not need to be advertised.

You should have received, at a minimum, a demand letter from EBS and a subsequent letter from the Receiver. Sometimes the banks mistakenly give incorrect contact addresses to Receivers etc.

We did receive demand letter last May. We have had not replies to letters we have sent them. IMHO has had no success on our behalf. We put house on the market few months ago and have received offer. We asked IMHO to speak to lender on our behalf as they will not speak to us or reply to letters. They received email reply saying house was in receivership and will not deal with us. We wrote to receiver company ten days ago asking for meeting but no reply yet. Afraid we will lose buyer. Receiver nor lender has contacted us giving us name or date of receiver. All correspondence from lender is addressed to our PPR.
