Does anyone know why Talbot St, in Dublin City Centre, is cordoned off ?
I passed that way at about 09.30am and there were lots of Gardai around and they had stopped people going down the street.

I've had a look at ireland.com breaking news to see if some other poor unfortunate has been shot but no mention of anything. Just wondering if anyone knows what the story is ?

According to the aaroadwatch website - "Talbot St is closed between Gardiner St and Marlborough St as Gardai deal with loose scaffolding."

I saw that too, at 9am. Nothing so far on RTE or AA websites......

Very mysterious ... !!
