Docklands Areas

Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts about the docklands. I gather some streets down there are still quite dodgy (particularly on the pierce st/sherriff st end of things?)

Anyone living in or near the likes of Charlottes Quay dock or that general area have any advice on areas to avoid?

Great area, transformed around grand canal sq. Some dodgy areas between Macken St and townsend st but the ringsend side of the canal is fine
