Doesn't look like great value considering aldi are supposed to be very cheap.

A Dell Inspiron 1525 with the same HD, RAM and a slightly better battery and faster CPU is €654.

On this page http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/p...spnnb_1525?c=ie&cs=iedhs1&l=en&ref=lthp&s=dhs (2nd from right) the closest to the ALDI spec I can find is €699, but with some differences (smaller non-HD screen, no HDMI, more RAM, bigger HD, bigger faster FSB, no carry-case, etc.)

avoid the akoyas, I got one from latest batch 3 months ago, Im on the verge of handing back, thing constantly crashing doing most basics of tasks and Id know my way around a pc. Read of similar experiences. Support guys are great but still.

Don't know about the particular computer, but I have ended up returning ever piece of electrical equipment I have ever bought from Aldi & Lidl...they seem to give up the ghost after about 9-10 months. Though the one good thing is that if you hold onto the reciept, you can generally get a full refund.

I called to the shop this morning, they were sold out, so I dont need to worry about it now. I was told they were sold out about 5 minutes after opening.
