Do you need to have a current account with NIB for the LTV mortgage?

I was about to take the jump from Ulster Bank to Halifax when I saw in this forum that NIB are even lower (LTV approx. 21%). This means that I can go for a 4.5% tracker instead of a 4.6% (every little helps ).

The thing is that most people with the NIB tracker seem to mention that they have a current account there as well. Is this a requirement? I've checked their website and couldn't find any info on this...

Thanks

Yeah - you do need to open a current account with NIB to get the LTV mortgage.
