I am considering a move to Greystones Co Wicklow. If you live there can you let me know what are the facilities like for families? Would you recommend the place? I know you have two pay a premium to live there but is it worth it?

Regards,
Aura

I live in Greystones and love it I am there 25 years, and have raised a family that love living there There are a number of activities in the area for children, GAA Football Tennis and the new public swimming pool is currently being constructed and Charlesland has grown significantly in the last few years and will continue to grow, The new marina has recieved planning recently and that will improve the harbour area also you have the beach. But its what you make of it.

If you like the outdoors life then its for you. My wife hates the commute to Dublin for work but at the weekends and a few evenings a week when you are standing on the beach it makes up for it. Same with the forrest at the weekends.

There are some nice places to eat out in the town these days as well.

Have been here two years, and the best move we made..
lots of facilities for young families, with more on the way.
Houses not cheap, but prices going down.
If you are on the dart to work it takes about 50 minutes to get into town.
