Do you get 2/5 if cut back to 3 day week

I have been told my working week is being cut from 5 days to 3 days. I have been advised by a friend that this is the way it works. Full jb payment is €196 / week. I had assumed it would be divided by 5 and multiplied by 2 (as I have been cut 2 days at work) and this would result in me getting €78.40 jb. But my friend says no, you take the €196 divide by 6 and multiply by 2 which would give me €65.33/week. Or if i had originally worked 6 days I would qualify for 3 days pay in jb scheme. Oh the confusion, can anyone confirm what i will get, it's hard to sort out childcare when you don't know your earnings. Thanks

This has been covered loads of times. try looking at the keypost first. Dpends on whether your treated as Casual worker (no set patetrn) or Short-time worker (set days each week

The benifit of 3 day week, if you can call it that, is that you get dole for 3 days also. So you should get 198 / 2 as you are working half a week. 3 out of 6 days
