Do VISA Debit cards work in Rome/Italian ATMs?

Quick question, going to Rome next week and wondering can I take cash out on a BoI Visa Debit card at ATMs?

Would be a lot handier if that was the case,

I don't see why not. I had no proble in Venice earlier this year. have you asked anyone in the bank?

You can use it anywhere in the world that has the VISA logo - at ATMs, shops, restaurants etc.
