Do lenders take public service increments into account?

In the past, lenders used to assume a civil servant was on two increments above their present salary.

Does anyone know if they still do?

Doesnt seem so, I got a letter to say id get an increment in four weeks and my payslip confirmed when id get my next increment when I applied with BOI and my offer still had my lower salary.

The salary certs do ask are you on a scale and what is the max though so I dont know if it helps your case when applying but it doesnt seem to help your figures
