Do I put wife on mortgage?

Hi all
Hope this is in the correct forum.
I am getting married next year and my future wife will be moving in and begin contributing to the mortgage.
I purchased on my own 3 yrs ago as a FTB, my girlfriend is also a FTB.
However as my LTV is quite low I pay about 8K per annum in interest for which I get the maximum tax relief.
If I then put my wife on the mortgage with me ( next year ) it will make no difference to my repayments.
Am I correct in thinking it would be wiser to wait until I have used my 7 years higher rate mortgage interest relief and then put my wife on the mortgage also, enabling us to maximise our tax benefit by using her high rate mortgage interest relief separately?
This to me seems sensible or maybe its not legal I'm not really sure.
Any help much appreciated as always!
Thanks

There are several existing threads on the same topic of whether or not to put the spouse on the mortgage/deeds of a property originally bought by the other spouse which might be worth searching out.

I don't think that will work.

Being married makes this the family home. As long as the spouse is party to the mortgage she will lose FTB status whether on title or not.
