I am currently unemployed and recently applied for a course with Professional Development Ltd. in order to upgrade my current skills, and they told me to have a look at their website and read about how FAS can help out with fees for the unemployed.
So I followed all the steps and made an appointment with a placement officer last week, the receptionists (one on the phone and another in person) both knew what I was talking about, but the placement officer just said 'no there's nothing we can do' and didn't even ask where I was doing the course or what the course was, but was telling me to do a FAS course instead, but FAS are not offering what I had in mind, the course I plan to do is my chosen career, yet FAS said they don't cover that subject.
Could anyone give me any information?
