DLaoire/Rthdwn: how long is wait for house, how often do offers come up?

Does anybody know how long the wait it for a house in this area or how often the offers come up? Is there any way to get further up the list quicker? There are 4300 on the list and I am at the bottom eeeeuuuu.

It's strictly in order of where you are on the list. I think this year they estimate that they'll allocate about 250 homes? So I guess that means you might get something in about 16 years???? The only way you can sometimes jump is if the people ahead of you can't afford a particular development. Eg: BSQ cost 300k. Some people couldn't afford that mortgage so others jumped ahead for that development only. If you're at the bottom of the list I wouldn't plan your life around getting a place with them.

I got my letter from them telling me that i am 4242 on their list!! Its a bit of a joke really! That would be approx 14years - i'll be 42 by then haha!!
