any idea what a typical slope is required for drainage when building a deck?

or do they have one at all?

Re: DIY Deckin question

Quarter inch per foot is standard I believe, the gaps in between the boards mitigate the need for a fall, but I reckon it'd still be best incorporate one.

thanks Leo....its a friend up mine doing his own DIY deck, but on mine I wouldn't notice any slope....

Quarter in per foot is 1 in 48, so shallow enough, as I mentioned though, with the gaps between boards, you're not going to get water pooling anyway, even if it is level.
