Dividend withholding tax on nominee accounts

Hi,

I have some shares held directly and some held in a nominee account. With the directly held shares I receive a dividend and a cert stating the dividend withholding tax deducted but with the nominee account, the dividends are just paid directly to the account with no paperwork. Is dividend withholding tax deducted from dividends held by a nominee account? If it is should my online stockbrokers not send me the appropriate cert for tax purposes?

Thanks,

Herbie

Surely you can work it out by comparing the dividend amount paid into the nominee account with the gross dividend amount declared by the company?
