Dissolve Company - What happens to Company van

Hi,
I've been running my own business for the last while and am now changing back in to permanent employment. I plan on dissolving the Ltd company I had as I will no longer be trading once I start the permanent role.
As part of company I bought a van for business use, but as I will now be dissolving the company what will happen here, who takes over ownership of the van etc? Can I simply take ownership of the van myself? Will there be any VAT issues associated?
 
As part of the liquidation process you could have the van transferred to you as part of a distribution in specie. This will only apply if your company is solvent. However, if your company is insolvent it is illegal for you to take ownership of the van!
