Discounts for over 60s ?

I have this. I set it up via the Boots App. Once you "join the over 60's club" you automatically get the points anytime you use the card when paying. A word of warning, it dropped off my account twice and I had to add it back. The App is not very intuitive and using the points you accumulate is a bit odd.

Yes, my wife gets her points. It's the discount on purchases over €20. that I am unsure of. Are these given as extra points or do you get a discount off the actual price of something. Never seen it on any receipt over the years.
