Disabling alarm system

Hi, anyone know if its possible to temporarily turn off an alarm system (Eircom p/w). The battery in one of our sensors is low and keeps beeping, usually in the middle of the night. Its proving very difficult to find the correct battery (Saft 3.6v LS14250c - just found it online thanks to AAM!), so in the meantime I'd like to be able to turn off the alarm at nighttime. Anyone ever done this?

We had similar situ, we rang PHonewatch, and they spoke us through a code, which stopped the beeping for us.

The beeping was a nightmare...
