disability friendly PC

A friend of mine has recently had a stroke. He has good use of left side and use of right side is improving. He is looking for a disability friendly PC. Probably a laptop, it must be light in weight and also appropriate software. What sort of software is out there to help him use it. Would voice recognition software be useful? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Windows comes with some features built in, like sticky keys. Vista also has voice recognition, but it's not without [broken link removed].

Some info on Windows accessibility here. Maybe a search for info about PC accessibility and assistive technologies/solutions might throw up some useful info? Perhaps some of the support groups for disabled people might be able to help/advise?
