disability allowance question

hi, iam currently recieving illness benifit for the last 12 months after having a back operation,i will this week be appling to go on to disability allowance can any one tell me the current waiting time for my disability claim to be processed and if i will still recieve my illness benifit until a decision is made on my db claim??

there's a long wait i waited 6 months and was refused i appealed the desicion and waited 12 months before i got my oral hearing im not sure if u will still receive your illness benefit as i was receiving a supplementery welfare payment

sorry to hear u had to wait so long . were u successfull with ure appel?? did they explain why it took so long to get an oral hearing??

It is taking this long due to the amount of appeals being submitted.

yeas i won my appeal they just said it was because of the amount of appeals that had been put in then i had to wait a further 6 weeks for my derision
