Director on a 3 day week

Hello All
I along with another are directors of a small firm that is struggling at present.
Is it possible for a director to go on a 3 day week and claim social welfare for the other 2 days

Unless he is entitled to JB (i.e. paying PRSI at qualifying rate for relevant period), no.
 
Was PAYE until mid last year and pay prsi at 5% of gross.
The company does not pay employers PRSI for me.
Would this qualify?

Probably not, Class A is normal rate payable by employee, you were probably Class S (self-employed as director of company).
