For anyone living in Athy town or on the outskirts who is connected to a telephone exchange that has not yet been upgraded (such as estates like Corran Ard, Dun Brin etc), you might be interested to hear that Digiweb's METRO wireless broadband service is now available. I had registered on their site just last week when i saw their advertising signs in the town, but their website does not appear to have been updated yet, since according to that it looks like only DSL is available. But their sales team called me today to confirm that METRO wireless service is now available, and they should be able to connect me in 2 weeks time - so fingers crossed it will work out!
